Roofing & RemodelingDFW

What We Do

  • Document damage properly, with photos by location, hail size evidence from soft metals and moisture readings on interior damage
  • Write scope in carrier estimating language so line items get recognized rather than rewritten
  • Meet your adjuster on the roof and point at specific damage
  • Handle the full repair including the interior, which is the part that gets underscoped most

What We Will Not Do

  • Act as your representative with the carrier. In Texas that needs a public adjuster license
  • File the claim for you or negotiate your settlement
  • Pay, waive or rebate your deductible, which is a criminal offense under Texas Business and Commerce Code 27.02
  • Tell you that you have damage without showing you where

Spotting A Storm Chaser

  1. Ask where their office is and look it up
  2. Ask how long the workmanship warranty runs and who honors it in year three, because out of state crews will not be here
  3. Ask for the insurance certificate from the agent directly
  4. If they offer to cover your deductible, end the conversation
  5. If the discount expires today, end the conversation
  6. Ask them to show you the damage on your roof, in photos, with locations. Vagueness is the tell

Questions

How soon after a storm should I get inspected?
Soon. Texas policies carry filing deadlines, and evidence degrades as more weather passes over the roof, which makes damage harder to attribute to a specific storm.
Will filing raise my rates?
A weather claim is treated differently from an at-fault claim, and multiple claims can still affect renewal. That is why we inspect before you file.
A door knocker said the whole neighborhood is getting new roofs.
Sometimes the street really did get hit. Often it is a sales tactic, and the crews saying it will not be in Texas next year to honor a workmanship warranty. Get your own roof documented.
